THE BRIGHT CONNECTION is a loving-home-like-center in China where children who suffer
from Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Hearing Impaired are nursed to health and encouraged to achieve independent living skills.
THE VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT
The Bright Connection believe all children regardless of physical or mental status deserve the right to be loved, and have the opportunity to be prepared for independent living.
THE BRIGHT CONNECTION center is a non-profit organization registered in the United States as a 501 C 3. It is a legally recognized charitable organization in Hainan Island, China. It was founded by John & Maggie Davis in February 2004.
BACKGROUND OF THE FOUNDER
In 1993, John & Maggie Davis and their twelve year old son moved to Hainan Island China and began working with a hotel management organization. In 1997 they were introduced to an abandoned 8-month old Chinese baby girl with autism and cerebral palsy illnesses. They were granted permission to take her into their home and they began to raise her. They adopted her in 2002 and recently celebrated Qiong Jian's eleventh birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Davis started an in-home program for their child many years ago which eventually developed into the reality of The Bright Connection. In February 2004, The Bright Connection officially opened in Sanya City beginning their mission and vision together with the Chinese people.
